On June 20, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Russia Miroslav Kostelka.

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated Deputy Chairman of RT State Council Alexander Gusev on 60th-anniversary.
Mintimer Shaimiev also informed that he had signed the Decree on rewarding the vice-speaker of Republican parliament with RT medal «For valorous work».

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev received the winners of RF State prize in the field of literature and art - creators of ballet "Legend about Yusuf"- actor Nurlan Kanetov, composer Leonid Lyubovsky and poet Renat Kharisov in the official residence at the Kazan Kremlin.

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev received director of State Hermitage Michael Piotrovski at the Kazan Kremlin. The issues of work of the centre "Hermitage-Kazan" , and also holding the session of the International Advisory Council of Hermitage were discussed on the session.

Today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has received the delegation of the World bank led by director and the constant representative of the World Bank in Russia Kristalina Georgieva at the Kremlin. Welcoming the guests, Mintimer Shaimiev noted, that the land of Tatarstan always had its own statehood, strong traditions and customs.

On May 30 the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev in his official residence met Danial Ahmetov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who came to Tatarstan at the head of the official delegation a day before.

On May 29 the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev visited Sabinsky district of the republic. Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the opening ceremony of a therapeutics department and a maternity hospital of central regional hospital in region centre Bogatye Saby. Then the President of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the opening ceremony of the hotel that belongs to sports complex "Narat", he also visited farm enterprise "Oktyabr" and a hog-raising farm OOO"Agrofirma Saba".
