Today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has taken part in opening shopping center “MEGA” in Kazan.

On November 29, in Kazan Kremlin RT President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Head of Federal Agency on Culture and Cinematography Mikhail Shvydkoi.

The republican target program "Energy -saving in Republic of Tatarstan for 2000-2005" successfully is approaching the end, the time has come for accepting the new program for next 5 years. This was the main context of the extended session of the RT Cabinet held with participation of President of republic Mintimer Shaimiev at expocentre "Kazan Fair".

Today the VII international specialized exhibition "Energy. Resource saving -2005" has opened at the JSC "Kazan fair". President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev took part in opening ceremony of the exhibition.

By results of 2005 the volume of industrial production in Republic Tatarstan will exceed 480 billion roubles. These data were sounded by RT President Mintimer Shaimiev at a meeting with heads of mechanical engineering enterprises held at JSC “Kazan engine-building production association" (KMPO) . In conditions of oil recovery stabilization and with such volumes of industrial production the cost of efficiency is extremely high, the head of republic emphasized.

President of Republic Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev took part in start -up of a new cast - iron complex at JSC "KMPO" (Kazan engine building production association). He got acquainted with the work of a complex, the newest development of enterprise. Then meeting with participation of the head of republic was held on subject "On results of industrial - economic activities of the enterprises of machine-building complex of Republic Tatarstan and prospects for 2006".

Today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has received Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Republic Slovenia to Russia Andrei Benedeichich in the Kazan Kremlin.

The new structure of the Supreme council of "United Russia" has been authorized today at the VI congress in Krasnoyarsk. The President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev was re-elected on a post of the co-chairman of the Supreme council of the party.
