Azerbaijan Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Karaev visited Tatarstan State Council on July 3 in the context of Days of Azerbaijan Culture in Tatarstan.
The Daewon Sollers Yelabuga car-seat manufacturing joint venture was opened in the Yelabuga region. The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roustam Minnikhanov and Daewon President Jo Gak Sunn.
An event called Days of Tatar Youth will be held on July 5-12 in Tatarstan. This year’s is the 19th time, Idel youth director Milyausha Sharapova told a briefing at the Tatmedia agency.
She said that 150 delegates from about 40 regions in Russia and near and far abroad states, including Ukraine, Belarus and Azerbaijan, would participate in the event.

Days of the Republic of Azerbaijan Culture are due to be held in Tatarstan on July 2-4.
July 2, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev was in Arkhangelsk where he attended the meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation on increasing power efficiency of the Russian economy. The meeting was chaired by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
The poultry farmers of Tatarstan have since the top of the year produced 53 thousand tonnes of meat, 120 percent of the last year’s result.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Russian team’s staff in the Student Village before the 25th Belgrade Summer Universiade opening ceremony on July 1.

Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov invited Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to come to Turkmenistan on a visit timed to the finishing day of the international autorally Kazan-Ashkhabad.
The Russian President accepted the invitation with gratitude, the Turkmenistan television reports.
The 17th international conference on chemical thermodynamics began at Tatarstan Academy of Science in Kazan on June 30. It is one of the largest and most significant conferences in Russia. Nearly 400 Russian and foreign specialists participate in the event.

The opening night of the ballet based on folklore story and Gabdullah Tukai’s poem “Shurale” was held in Saint Petersburg at Mariinsky Theatre. It has been recreated in the theatre repertoire in the year of composer Farid Yarullin’s anniversary.
