On 21 May, the 2nd HeliRussia international helicopter show will begin in Moscow. A large delegation from the Kazan’s Helicopter Plant is to attend the show, told Tatar-inform the plan’s deputy general director of foreign economic relations Valery Pashko.
The Sabantui festival will on 20 June take place at three locations in Kazan, told at staff meeting the Kazan’s mayor Ilsur Metshin. А great number of guests is expected. The foreign guests will have representatives of the Organisation of Islamic Capitals and Cities, an Organisation of the Islamic Conference division, among them. The OICC is to arrive in Kazan to hold a meeting.
Today is International Museum Day. Tatarstan Vice-Premier – Minister of Culture Zilya Valeyeva addressed people of Tatarstan on this occasion.

A delegation from the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel company, led by the board of directors Viktor Rashnikov, has toured the premises of the auto maker Kamaz, reports the company’s press service.
OAO Tatneft in the 1st quarter of 2009 supplied 3.7 million tonnes of oil to foreign states. Supplies were made via the Druzhba pipeline to Germany, Poland, Czechia, Italy, Croatia, Spain, Bulgaria, Sweden, Greece and France, says the company in a statement. The firm delivered 475 thousand tonnes to the Mozyr oil refinery, Naftan in Belarus and an oil refinery in Odessa, Ukraine.

The meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, and the Director of the Federal Migration Service, Colonel General Konstantin Romodanovsky, took place at the Kazan Kremlin on May 15.
At an extended meeting the Tatarstan Industry and Trade Ministry discussed Tatarstan’s energy and industry performance in the first quarter of 2009 on May 15. Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov attended the meeting.
The Kazan-based group of companies Nefis is one of Russia's largest manufacturers of basic goods such as fat products and household chemicals has been included into the list of major enterprises of Russia.
Tatarstan’s industry should be involved at most in the construction of oil refining and petrochemical facilities in Nizhnekamsk, the project run by the Taneko company.

The 9th International New Music Festival Europe-Asia will take place in the Tatarstan capital from May 20 through May 26. There will be twelve concerts featuring works by composers from France, Italy, Spain, the USA, Lithuania, Peru, Greece, Japan, China, Buryatiya, Mongolia, Kalmykia, Tajikistan, Russia and Tatarstan.
