Ministry of Economy in common of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan is preparing the Agreement, in accordance of which the tax remissions will be exempted to some enterprises of Tatarstan – said the RT Minister of Economy Marat Safiullin.

January 15, the delegation of Eastern Azerbaijan province (Islamic Republic of Iran) headed by the province Governor Mr. Ahmad Alireza Beygi visited the Tatar State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University (TSHPU). Memorandum on agreement in the sphere of science and educational cooperation between Azerbaijan Pedagogical University (Iran) and TSHPU was signed during the visit.

Memorandum on establishing twin city relations between Kazan and Tabriz was signed on January 14. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and Mayor of Tabriz Alireza Novin signed the Memorandum at Kazan City Hall.

Eastern Azerbaijan Province (Islamic Republic of Iran) considers opportunities of investing in manufacture of heavy and light tractors on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, development of joint projects between Tatarstan and Iran universities, and opening a direct air communication between Kazan and Tabriz.
Governor of Eastern Azerbaijan Ahmad Alireza Beygi stated it during the meeting with Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov at the Cabinet of Ministers.

January 15, Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan met in Kazan Kremlin with the Governor of Eastern Azerbaijan province (Iran) Mr. Ahmed Alireza Beygi.

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev signed Ecology code of the Republic of Tatarstan on January 15.

January 14, Rustam Minnikhanov, the Prime-minister of the Republic of Tatarstan met in Moscow with Igor Schegolev, the Minister of communications and mass-media of the Russian Federation.

January 14, Tatarstan’s Industry and Trade Minister Alexander Kogogin met with the Turkish firm Kastamonu Entegre’s Director for Development Mr. Onur Guven. The main purpose of the working visit is to hold negotiations on setting up a timber-processing facility in Tatarstan.
