The age of historicism in Russia. 1820-1890s” at “Hermitage-Kazan” center.
On November 20, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met Turkish Ambassador to Russia Umit Yardym, who was appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Russia on October 1, 2014.
On November 20, speaking at a session of the Tatarstan Presidential Anti-Corruption Council, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic has put a lot of effort into anti-corruption work, but much remains to be done to overcome existing problems in a number of areas. On November 14, the international research-to-practice conference “Historical, Cultural and Spiritual Heritage of Sviyazhsk” opened in Kazan within the framework of the Year of Culture. Tatarstan State Counsellor and Chairman of the Trustee Council of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev, Minister of Culture of the republic Airat Sibagatullin, Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov and other officials attended the conference.
Director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of Siberian Academy of Sciences Anatoly Derevyanko sent a letter of gratitude addressed to Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Guardians of Regional Foundation of the Revival of Historical and Cultural Monuments Mintimer Shaimiev saying that the archeological congress was successfully held in Kazan. 600 scientists from many regions took part in the event.
On November 11, at a commemoration event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of a famous Tatar stage director Marsel Salimzhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev read out Tatarstan President’s Edict on establishing the Republican theatrical prize named after Marsel Salimzhanov:
