Mintimer Shaimiev meets with Chairman of Federation of independent unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov
On November 13 Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met with Chairman of Federation of independent labour unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov. Mikhail Shmakov shared his impressions about his visit to Bolgar historical and architectural reserve. He was delighted at reconstruction of historical monuments and renewal of the old part of the town. He especially liked the River station and Museum of Bolgar civilization.

On November 12 Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met with Head of Russian Imperial House, the Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna at Kazan Kremlin.
Rustam Minnikhanov presents Order of Merits for the Republic of Tatarstan to Sergey Stepashin

On November 12 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov presented Order of Merits for the Republic of Tatarstan to Co-Chairman of Russian Association of Lawyers Sergey Stepashin in accordance with Tatarstan President’s Order for long service, great contribution to formation and development of external state and municipal financial control. The event was held at the Kazan Kremlin with participation of State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov.

Valentina Matvienko visits the island town of Sviyazhsk
On November 7 Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matvienko, accompanied by Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin and other officials looked around a number of unique orthodox, historical and architectural monuments of the island town. During a sightseeing tour Valentina Matvienko saw the reconstruction works within the framework of the complex programme “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: ancient town of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk”.
Mintimer Shaimiev takes part in session of Public Television Council
On November 7 Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev took part in a session of the Council of Public Television of Russia, which started its broadcasting in May this year, in Moscow.
