July 23, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shimiev, signed laws for the Republic of Tatarstan on the introduction of amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan “On Municipal Service in the Republic of Tatarstan” and to separate legislative acts of the Republic of Tatarstan on taxing assets belonging to organizations.

On July 22, 2008, the Kazan Kremlin hosted a session, chaired by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, for the organizing committee on the preparation and execution of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the World War II Victory in Tatarstan.

On July 21, 2008, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, M.Sh. Shaimiev, signed a Law of the Republic of Tatarstan on the “Amendment of the Republic of Tatarstan Law ‘On transportation tax’”.

On July 19, Tatarstan President, Mintimer Shaimiev, met with the Russian Federation Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy, Vitaly Mutko, in the Kazan Kremlin.

Igor Levitin, President of the Russian Table Tennis Federation, sent the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, a letter of congratulations.

On July 16, 2008, the President of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, visited the Elabuga municipal district. The main objective of the trip was for the head of the republic to take part in a meeting on “The results obtained by oil companies of the Republic of Tatarstan in the first half of 2008 and the further development of the republic’s oil industry.”

On July 15, 2008, President of RT, MIntimer Shaimiev, made a working trip to Tatarstan’s Alekseevsky district.

On July 14, 2008, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, met with a delegation of Australian Tatars at the Kazan Kremlin, who arrived to the capital by the invitation of the Executive Committee of the Worldwide Congress of Tatars.

July 10th, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, met with the Chairman of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kalashnikov, in the Kazan Kremlin.

July 10th, the RT State Council concluded its 39th session and will thus take its summer break. This session included President Mintimer Shaimiev.
