A number of major issues concerning the Tatarstan social mortgage programme were under consideration at the meeting of the Board of trustees of the nonprofit organization 'The State Housing Resources Fund under the RT President' that took place on June 4 in the Kazan Kremlin.
June 2 saw the closing ceremony of the 4th International Children's National Dance Festival “Behetle balachaq/Schastlivoye detstvo” (Happy childhood) taking place in Kazan State University's convention centre "UNICS". Mintimer Shaimiev invited its participants to attend the Universiade 2013.
June 2, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev gave his voice to the Kazan Kremlin in the contest "Seven Wonders of Russia". The voting took place before the closing ceremony of the 4th International Children's National Dance Festival "Schastlivoe detchtvo" (Happy childhood) that was held in Kazan State University's convention centre "UNICS". All guests of the festival were invited to vote for the architectural complex of the Kazan Kremlin with the Annunciation Cathedral and the Kul Sharif Mosque.
On May 31st, 27 member FISU Executive committee voting results on the city to host 2013 World Summer Universiade were announced in Brussels. Kazan won the right to Universiade over Spanish Vigo and South Korean Gwang Ju already in the first round, receiving 20 positive votes. Tatarstan delegation was met at the plane stairway by the Republic’s President Mintimer Shaimiev, RT Prime-minister Rustem Minnekhanov.
President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev received congratulation from Dmitry Sheler, the President of RT federation of underwater sports. The telegram was sent on occasion of the Russian Federation team becoming the first one to win gold medals in the world underwater swimming championship, which was conducted for the first time.
May 28, Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan visited Muslyumovsky district of RT. During the visit he met with the heads of local settlements and agricultural enterprises at the cattle-breeding complex "Vamin-Urozhai".
On May 27th, Russian Prime-Minister Vladimir Putin travelled to Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”, visited FIAT Ducato manufacturing facility, attended a workshop on mesures to grow Russian automotive industry. During the visit, he is accompanied by RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and RT Prime-minister Rustem Minnekhanov.
III congress of RT municipalities council took place on the premises of Kazan’s cultural-entertainment complex “the Pyramid” on May 26. Republic of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev addressed forum participants, underlined current issues in the work of local self-government institutions.
On May 26, meeting of the RT mayors Council was held in Kazan Kremlin. Mr. Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, the RT Prime-minister and Rimma Ratnikova, the Deputy Chairman of the RT State Council, took part in the meeting.
