On August 1, a new synthetic pitch was opened in Kazan within the framework of Russian Football Union Program. President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev took part in solemn ceremony.

On July 31, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev visited Mendeleyevsky district. The visit started with an opening of the 19-bed infectious division of the Mendeleyevsky Central Hospital. The building is equipped with laboratory facilities. Then the President got acquainted with the course of reconstruction of city utilities, realisation of the real estate mortgage programme. Last year 32 families received new flats under the programme in Mendeleyevsk. Later, the President took part in putting in an extruded foam polystyrene production in OAO “Chemical Plant named after Karpov”.

Surgical complex of Inter-regional Clinical Diagnostics Center was solemnly opened in Kazan. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, head of RF Ministry of healthcare and social development Mikhail Zurabov, and RT minister of healthcare Kamil Zyatdinov took part in the ceremony.

On July 27, Minister of Healthcare and Social Development of Russia Mikhail Zurabov arrived in Kazan. President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev welcomed the eminent guest in international airport “Kazan”.

On July 25, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met in Kazan Kremlin with President of Federation of Independent Trade-Unions of Russia, member of RF Public Chamber Mikhail Shmakov.

Republican Government will support the reconstruction of Kazan-Vyatka eparchy Cathedral. Suitable agreement was reached at the meeting of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev with Metropolitan of Moscow and all Russia Kornily (Russian Orthodox Oldritualist Church) on July 25. The Cathedral will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2009.

On July 22, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev was interviewed by Russian TV-channel “Vesti”. Mintimer Shaimiev answered questions of reporter Igor Deryugin about RF State council session that was held a day before as well as the realization of priority national projects in the Republic of Tatarstan.

On July 21, in Moscow President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev participated in the work of the Russian Federation State Council meeting under the chairmanship of the RF President Vladimir Putin.

On July 18, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev visited Aktanishsky district. The head of the Republic observed fields, then took part in the opening of the health centre in Poiseevo village as well as the reconstructed cultural centre in the Old Baisarovo village.

On July 14, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan met Director of Federal service of court officers - chief court officer Nikolai Vinnichenko. Nikolai Vinnichenko informed, that they talked about the place of the Main office Federal service of court officers in Tatarstan, which it takes in the system of authorities in the Republic, and also about the objects of the Chief office.
