On September 1, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev within the framework of Day of Knowledge participated in the opening of football grounds at “Kamaz” stadium and “Grenada” park.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated families of Naberezhny Chelny city, who received accommodation on social mortgage conditions with new homes. 10-storied, 14-porch house, designed for 431 flats, of total square 3.3 thousand sq.meters. Projects cost of the building is 328 mln rubles. 28 offices will be sited at the ground floor.

On August 31, an outstanding orchestra conductor, professor, deserved artist of Russia, Kazakhstan and Tatarstan Fuat Mansurov was invited to Kazan Kremlin to receive the medal “In memory of Kazan 1000th anniversary” from RT President’ hands. As Mr.Mansurov stated to the press, it is of a high importance to him, as it is connected with his beloved city.

It is his third visit to Kazan. Previously Mr. Maatouq took part in the Kul-Sharif Mosque opening ceremony. Questions of economic cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the State of Kuwait were discussed during the meeting.

“Tatarstan celebrates great holiday today – Republic Day coincided with the 1000th anniversary of Kazan. The festivities on this occasion were held at international and national level. We have managed to do a lot of thing with federal executive bodies’ assistance. The fact that RF President Vladimir Putin chaired the steering committee on the 1000th anniversary of Kazan celebration provided our jubilee with a special significance. At the time of jubilee events we have shown Russia- and Worldwide of how to live in peace and consent in a multinational and multi-confessional republic”, - Mintimer Shaimiev underlined.

On 29 August in the Kazan Kremlin the RT President Mintimer Shaimiev met Turkey delegation headed by the State Minister Beshir Atalay.
On the morrow of the meeting the Turkey State Minister said to journalists that members of the delegation are in Kazan for taking part in the actions on the occasion of jubilee celebration of ancient capital.

Congratulatory telegrams on the occasion of Kazan 1000-Anniversary keep coming to President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.

In his speech at the session of the RF State Council taking place now in Kazan, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev noted, that the State Council of the Russian Federation as institute of the government has justified itself.

Just at the international airport "Kazan" the plane of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has landed. The head of the state at a gangway of the plane was met by President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, RF Chairman of Government Mikhail Fradkov, Commander of the Volga -Urals military district Vladimir Boldyrev, Chief Federal inspector on RT Marsel Galimaradanov, RT Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, head of Kazan administration Kamil Iskhakov, other officials. From the airport Vladimir Putin headed to the Kazan city hall where the session of the RF State Council is to start.

Today the working meeting of the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and minister of transport of the Russian Federation Igor Levitina has taken place in the Kazan Kremlin. President of republic and head of the federal ministry have summed up the outcomes of construction and repair of transport objects to the 1000-anniversary of Kazan. Igor Levitin expressed opinion, that the renewed Kazan - Orenburg route, opened at the end of the last month, has become already a habitual line for citizens of Kazan and guests of the capital.
