On September 6, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev rewarded the medals “In the memory of Kazan 1000th anniversary” for significant contribution to socio-economic development of the city and preparations for the 1000th year from Kazan foundation.

On September 5, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and All-Russia State TV and Radio Broadcast Company “VGTRK” Director General Oleg Dobrodeev have come to an agreement to open one of the most advanced in Russia TV-Radio complexes on the base of a “VGTRK” branch.

On September 2, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev leaves for Leninogorsk, where on the 2nd and 3rd of September he will take part in the 50th anniversary of the town and 60 years from “Leninogorskneft” oil and gas producing company foundation.

On September 1, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev within the framework of Day of Knowledge participated in the opening of football grounds at “Kamaz” stadium and “Grenada” park.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated families of Naberezhny Chelny city, who received accommodation on social mortgage conditions with new homes. 10-storied, 14-porch house, designed for 431 flats, of total square 3.3 thousand sq.meters. Projects cost of the building is 328 mln rubles. 28 offices will be sited at the ground floor.

On August 31, an outstanding orchestra conductor, professor, deserved artist of Russia, Kazakhstan and Tatarstan Fuat Mansurov was invited to Kazan Kremlin to receive the medal “In memory of Kazan 1000th anniversary” from RT President’ hands. As Mr.Mansurov stated to the press, it is of a high importance to him, as it is connected with his beloved city.

It is his third visit to Kazan. Previously Mr. Maatouq took part in the Kul-Sharif Mosque opening ceremony. Questions of economic cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the State of Kuwait were discussed during the meeting.

“Tatarstan celebrates great holiday today – Republic Day coincided with the 1000th anniversary of Kazan. The festivities on this occasion were held at international and national level. We have managed to do a lot of thing with federal executive bodies’ assistance. The fact that RF President Vladimir Putin chaired the steering committee on the 1000th anniversary of Kazan celebration provided our jubilee with a special significance. At the time of jubilee events we have shown Russia- and Worldwide of how to live in peace and consent in a multinational and multi-confessional republic”, - Mintimer Shaimiev underlined.
