On March 1 RT President Mintimer Shaimiev appointed Ildar Nigmedzyanov a Representative of Tatarstan in Uzbekistan.
The article, to be exact, the whole section in the bill developed today "On Entrails" which should be brought on consideration of the Government of the Russian Federation already in the middle of March, will be devoted to the tax on extraction of minerals (TEM) and, in particular, to its differentiation. At least, it was declared on March 1 by the head of RF Federal Agency of Use of Mineral Resources Anatoly Ledovskikh after a meeting with President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev held at the Kazan Kremlin.

The award ceremony of the best directors of republican companies was held on February 28 in the Cultural and Entertainment Complex "Pyramid". Twenty-three winners were chosen out of 260 applicants. The winners received gold breastplates "The Director of the Year" and certificates signed by the RT President. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, and Chairman of the RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin were present at the award ceremony.
Social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2004 and tasks for 2005 were a main topic of discussion during the enlarged session of the board of the Ministry of Economy and Industry on February 28. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, and Chairman of the RT State Council took part in the work of the board. The competitiveness of the economy of the whole country in many respects depends on the way the economy of Tatarstan would work, Mintimer Shaimiev said.

The draft law «On the introduction of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan», related to the new order of election of heads of the subjects of the Russian Federation, was adopted in the first reading at the session of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On February 24, the RT Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing summed up the results of 2004 and set tasks for this year. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, who took part in the meeting, believes that without large-scale construction further growth of industrial output cannot be ensured. If new building is going on, it means that everything is fine in the republic.

On February 22, a session of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation led by President of Russia Vladimir Putin was held in Zhukovskoye, near Moscow. President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the session. "On the state and prospects of the development of the Russian aviation-industrial complex " will be the main issue to be considered by the participants of the session. Leaders of the working group of the State Council of the Russian Federation, Head of the administration of the Voronezh oblast Vladimir Kulakov and Minister of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation Viktor Khristenko will deliver their reports.

Today, on February 21, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev held a working meeting in the Kazan Kremlin dedicated to the preparation for celebrating the 1000th anniversary of the foundation of Kazan. The course of realisation of publishing projects connected with the city's 1000th anniversary was in the focus. Issues of information covering of the anniversary celebrations and in particular the organisation of the International Press-centre were also discussed.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan issued a decree dismissing N. Khabipov from the post of head of the administration of Bavly district and the town of Bavly, the Republic of Tatarstan. A. Khabibullin was appointed head of Bavly district and the town of Bavly, the Republic of Tatarstan.
On February 18, the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev visits Bavly district, Tatarstan.
The program of the working visit includes participation in the session of the Bavly Council of People's Deputies.
