On June 22 a mission of the World bank led by director of its Russian office Mr. Julian Schweizer arrived in Kazan. On June 25 in the Kazan Kremlin, the representatives of the World Bank met with President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and discussed an issue of granting of two credits to the city of Kazan.

During his meeting with President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev on June 20 in the Kazan Kremlin, Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Russian Federation Rauf Saad called his first visit a beginning of a new era of development of Tatar-Egyptian relations.

On June 20 the delegation of the Sverdlovsk oblast led by governor Eduard Rossel arrived in Kazan with an official visit. The same day President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and Eduard Rossel visited the exhibition - presentation of the enterprises of Sverdlovsk area and Tatarstan organized in the exhibition centre "Kaznaskaya yarmarka". Then in the presentation pavilion of the exhibition centre they signed an Agreement between the RT Ministry of transport and road infrastructure and the Ministry of industry of the Sverdlovsk area and also between OAO Tatneft and ZAO "Pipe metallurgical company", as well as the Protocol on intentions between the Ministry of Health of the RT and the Ural optico-mechanical factory.

On June 19 the delegation of the OAO "Gazprom" headed by Vice-president of the board Alexandr Ananenkov arrived in Kazan. During the visit they plan to determine delivery standards of the Kazan compressor and motorbuilders.
During the meeting in the Kazan Kremlin with President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, the parties highly estimated the teamwork for the last decade, first of all continuous gasification of the republican settlements, steady gas-supply to the industrial enterprises of Tatarstan.

June 15, Saint Petersburg received visitors from all Russia - heads of subjects of the Russian Federation arrived in city on the Neva for participation in the field meeting of the RF State council on subject "Priorities of development of the Russian culture". The President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev arrived on June 15 at St. Petersburg as well.

June 14, the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev by video-communication from the centre of company "Tattelekom" welcomed participants of the second Open festival of regional broadcasting companies "Culture on air" held in Nizhnekamsk. Mintimer Shaimiev thanked the RF Ministry of culture and minister Mikhail Shvydkoj, participating in festival, that the place of holding such representative forum was elected city of Tatarstan, Nizhnekamsk.

On May, 24 in Russkoye Nikolskoye village people celebrated the holiday "Karavon". Today it is a republic-wide show of folklore collectives and soloists which arrived from twenty districts of Tatarstan and republics of Russia. President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev marked its value for the multinational Tatarstan people.

If someone says that there is little specificity,and such judgements are expressed, I would offer them to try to assess the present situation in internal and foreign policy, social and economic development of the country within the framework of one-hour statement, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev said, commenting upon the statement of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, his annual Message to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. It is impossible to specify more, than it does.

Development of trade and external economic cooperation between Tatarstan and the Republic of Bangladesh was discussed during the meeting of President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimieva and Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in the Russian Federation Nazimullah Chowdhury.

On May 16 in Moscow, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Republic of Tatarstan signed the Protocol on interaction in the sphere of international and foreign economic relations for 2003-2005. The document signed by RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Igor Ivanov is developed, proceeding from the necessity of active interaction of the parties in realization of the international part of the governmental program "Preparation for Kazan Millenium".
