No matter what music will be composed in future, compositions by Anvar Bakirov marked by sincerity, will not get lost, many generations will listen to them, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev said during a farewell meeting held on August 13 in the RT State Concert Hall.

On August 12, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev during his working trip to Crimea met with Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma. During the meeting they shared opinions on a broad range of problems concerning economic relations between Tatarstan and Ukraine.

August, 9 the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev visited Pestrechinsky region.

Construction of modern sports- leisure centre soon will start in territory of former airport " Kazan - 2 ". This was discussed at the meeting held on August 8 in the Kazan Kremlin under presidency of the RT President Mintimer Shaimiev.

Within two last days in Kazan appeared no new cholera patients, the diagnoses put to the patients in Moscow, have not proved to be true - these facts were informed to President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev by the Chief health officer of Russia Gennady Onishchenko on August, 6 during a meeting in the Kazan Kremlin. The head of republic in detail asked on the situation which has arisen as a result of occurrence in city of dangerous disease, its reasons and position for today.

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has received the invitation to take part in session of General Assembly of the United Nations which is take place in New York, December 3-4, 2001.

August 6, in NCC "Kazan" within the framework of preparation for celebrating a 1000-anniversary of Kazan took place opening the international scientific - practical conference " The Great Volga route " was held. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev opened the forum.

August 4, Kazan, the working meeting on issues of the accommodating the services concerned with registration of the business and real estate subjects according to "one window" principle and the simplified system of the reporting took place. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev joined the meeting.

The RT President Mintimer Shaimiev at the working meeting held on August 2 sharply criticized the heads of Republican organizations, chiefs of administrations for inadequate performance of the Government decision on mobilization of the trucks for harvesting.
The participants of the meeting, namely, vice-premier Marat Ahmetov, Vladimir Shvetsov, head of Kazan administration Kamil Iskhakov, Board chairmen of the banks " Ak Bars ", "Tatfondbank", "Tatagroprombank", president of JSC" Tatkhleboprodukt " received the assignment to settle down within a day all issues, in particular, on work payment to the motor transport enterprises, on finalizing contract conclusion. The heads of regions and cities were instructed to create necessary conditions for the drivers, directed to harvesting.

The president of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has signed the order on formation of the working group for preparation of the offers on issues of coordination and ordering activity of territorial federal enforcement authorities.
