On March 22, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev visited Innopolis in Verkhneuslonsky region of the Republic of Tatarstan. Innopolis, the first city in the modern history of Russia opened last year in June. It consists of the economic zone, Univeristy, sports complex, residential area, and provides wide opportunites for education and professional development.
On March 9, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev visited the exhibition of a sculptor and painter, member of the Russian Union of artists Rustam Gabbasov at Khazine national gallery.
On February 28, State Counsellor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met Naina Yeltsina, who arrived to the awarding ceremony of the winners of ITF tennis tournament “Yeltsin Cup”. The international competitions started at Kazan Tennis Academy on February 20.
On February 19, at the Hermitage-Kazan Center Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Revival Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev, Director of State Hermitage Museum Mikhail Piotrovsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to Russia Shafiq Muhsin Ismail, Chairman of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Russia, Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gainutdin, Chairman of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of the republic Kamil Samigullin, Minister of Culture of the republic Aiat Sibagatullin and other officials took part in the opening of a unique exhibition "Ibn Fadlan’s journey: Volga route from Baghdad to Bulgar”.
On February 19, at the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Revival Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with Director of the State Hermitage Museum Mikhail Piotrovsky, who arrived in Kazan to take part in the opening of the exhibition “Ibn Fadlan’s journey: Volga route from Baghdad to Bolgar” at the Hermitage-Kazan Center.
On January 13, at the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counsellor and Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev presented a volume VI of the Book of Benefactors, as well as letters of commendation, to CEOs and individuals who made donations to the Revival Foundation.
On January 4, Kazan said farewell to the great Tatarstan benefactor Asgat Galimzyanov, who died on January 3 at the age of 80. A civil funeral service was held in the hall of the Cultural Center of the Ministry of the Interior of the republic.
On December 23, in Bolgar, Tatarstan State Counsellor and Chairman of Board of Trustees of Revival Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev held a brief meeting on building a hotel complex.
On December 15, the 3rd All-Russian UNESCO Chair Congress was held at the National Mineral Resources University in St. Petersburg. Grigory Ordzhonikidze, Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, read out a welcome message from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov addressed to participants of the congress.
On December 14, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev took part in a plenary session of the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum devoted to the 70th anniversary of UNESCO.
