On August 14, State Counsellor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Regional Foundation “Revival” Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting at the place of the reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The historical cathedral will be reconstructed by the order of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
On August 4, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with the delegation of Tatars from Astrakhan region, who are taking part in the 6th Session of the World Congress of Tatars.
On July 28, State Counsellor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival foundation Mintimer Shaimiev visited Bolgar historical and archeological complex and held a meeting on issues of construction of Kul Gali hotel and improvement of the Volga River embankment.
On July 26, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation Mintimer Shaimiev took part in ceremonies of unveiling the sculpture in honor of graduates and awarding diplomas to police officers graduating from the Kazan Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
On July 24, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Foundation for Revival of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with Director of the ICOMOS International Conservation Centre in Xian (China), Professor Guo Zhan.
On July 11, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister of the republic Alexey Pesoshin, members of the regional government and other officials took part in the 30th session of Tatarstan State Council of the fifth convocation.
On July 9, by the decision of the 41st session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in Krakov (Poland), the Assumption Cathedral and the Monastery located in the island-town of Sviyazhsk were included in the World Heritage List.
On July 7, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with members of the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Iranian President's Special Adviser for Religious and Ethnic Minorities' Affairs Ali Younesi.
On June 30, a presentation of the Bolgar Islamic Academy and a scientific conference on topical issues of modern Islamic education were held during a meeting of the Council on Islamic Education in Bolgar.
On June 26, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with Chairman of the Executive Board of RUSNANO Corporation Anatoly Chubais, who together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of a plant for the production of nanocomposite coatings developed by Advenira Enterprises, Inc. in Himgrad Technopolis in Kazan.
