On October 4, State Counsellor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival regional foundation Mintimer Shaimiev met representatives of foreign mass media agencies accredited at the Russian Ministry of foreign affairs, who are taking part in a study trip to the republic on October 2-4. The trip is organized by the regional press and mass communications “Tatmedia” by the request of foreign mass media agencies.
On October 3, State Counsellor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met Nakiya Gilyazova, the wife of People’s writer of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayaz Gilyazov.
On September 29, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting on improving the embankment of the Volga River in Bolgar.
On September 27, the President of LUKOIL PJSC Vagit Alekperov spoke before students of Kazan Federal University. State Counsellor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and Vagit Alekperov accompanied by heads of the biggest Russian oil producing companies, public figures and politicians arrived at the university after the ceremony of summarizing the results of the 8th Contest of social and cultural projects of LUKOIL PJSC in the Republic of Tatarstan that was held at Piramida complex.
On September 27, at the Governor’s Palace in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and President of LUKOIL Company Vagit Alekperov, who is on a working visit in Kazan, signed a protocol to the cooperation agreement between the republic and LUKOIL Company for 2017.
On September 4, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian Federation to Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Head of Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov, Prime Minister of the republic Alexey Pesoshin, Chairman of the regional Council Farid Mukhametshin, representatives of religious denominations and other officials took part in the solemn opening of the Bolgar Islamic Academy.
On August 29, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the regional Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin took part in the meeting.
On August 29, on the eve of the Day of the Republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, representatives of government agencies and public figures took part in a ceremony of unveiling memorial plaques to two outstanding statesmen Fikryat Tabeyev (1928-2015) and Gumer Usmanov (1932-2015) in Kazan.
On August 22, after visiting the Bolgar historical and archeological complex, UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova and State Counsellor of the republic, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev got acquainted with the progress of reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
On August 22, UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova and State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Bolgar historical and archaeological complex.
