Tatarsan’s State Counselor, Chairman of Supervision Council of the Republican fund “Vozrozhdenie” (“Revival”) Mintimer Shaimiev has visited Bolgar state historical-architectural museum reserve. He has inspected construction, archeological, and restoration works being performed under the project “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: ancient city of Bolgar and island town Sviyazhsk.”

Extraordinary session of the Tatarstan State Council of the fourth convocation was held today. Tragic events that happened in Kazan on July 19 made parliament members break off their traditional holidays. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan’s State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, leaders of republic’s traditional confessions, heads of municipal regions and city districts, leaders of large regional religious centers attended the session.

Tatarstan’s State Counselor, Chairman of Supervision council of the Republican fund for historical and cultural monuments revival Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting on issue of creating permanent exposition at the museum of Sviyazhsk history of the State historical-architectural art museum “Sviyazhsk island town” in the Complex of government buildings. The meeting was held at the Kazan Kremlin.

The XXVII World summer Universiade Torch Lighting Ceremony was officially launched at Paris Sorbonne University on July 12th, 2012.
Tatarstan’s State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev met with President of Paris-Sorbonne University Jobert Barthélémy.
On July 11 Tatarstan delegation led by the State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev visited Louvre museum and Palace and Park Ensemble of Versailles and met with Director of the Department for international cooperation of the Ministry of culture of France Bruno Favel. In the morning members of the delegation visited restoration workshop of Louvre museum and met with Director of the workshop Ms Maria Lavandie.
