He has inspected construction, archeological, and restoration works being performed under the project “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: ancient city of Bolgar and island town Sviyazhsk.”

Extraordinary session of the Tatarstan State Council of the fourth convocation was held today. Tragic events that happened in Kazan on July 19 made parliament members break off their traditional holidays. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan’s State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, leaders of republic’s traditional confessions, heads of municipal regions and city districts, leaders of large regional religious centers attended the session.

The meeting was held at the Kazan Kremlin.
