The Tatar-German symposium on “efficient energy-saving for petroleum, chemical and petroleum refining industries” is on from 16 to 18 March, 2010. Some 200 participants are partaking in the symposium. Among them, there are 20 representatives of the leading FRG companies in the sphere of petrochemical production; as well as 70 representatives of RT industrial and engineering companies and those coming from other regions of Russia, Byelorussia, Lithuania and Czechia.
The construction of a rowing channel that has stands with a capacity of 1500 spectators has commenced in Kazan as part of the “Universiade-2013” programme.

According to the law, building licences were from January 1, 2010, to expire; the right to perform construction, engineering and design is instead granted by self-regulating organisations. By law, a non-profit organisation set up as a non-commercial partnership. The foundation for SRO in Tatarstan became the Community of Builders of Republic of Tatarstan.
On March 16, 2010, two collections of works of unique value were presented as part of the scientific conference “Historical Geography and Socio-Cultural Development of the Medieval Turkic-Tatar States” (the 15th – second third of the 18th century). The editions contain rare information on the history of both our region and Eastern Europe.
The Tatar State Puppet Theatre Akiyat (Fairytale) will go on tour to Almata, Astana and Karaganda cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan on March 19-29. The Kazan troupe will present a grandiose concert programme for adults named Puppet Show directed by Russia and Tatarstan Honoured Figure of Arts Lyudmila Dyachenko.
The MITT-2010 international travel and tourism fair will be held in Moscow on March 17-20. The new tourist brand of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Kazan, or the so called Three Capital of Russia, will be presented within its framework. The Three Capitals of Russia is a brand merging the three cities into a single tourist itinerary. The tripartite agreement on joint promotion of the new product was signed by the Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Kazan committees for tourism on November 25, 2009. Russia’s largest tour operator Intourist supported the pooled presentation. Kazan was for the first time presented within the new brand of the Three Capitals of Russia at the ITB 2010 show in Berlin, Germany.
Becoming part of the new itinerary, the Tatar capital will open up to travellers from around the world.

The Kazan delegation has partaken in the exhibition ever since 2006. Sticking by the traditions of the previous years, this year the Republic is presenting the most ambitious projects to be realized in the near future – facilities designed for the World Student Games-2013. The RT exposition has an area of no less than 72 square kilometers at the exhibition.
