Vice-chancellor of the Czech Technical University Jaroslav Kuba visited Kazan State University on November 11. The guest told about the university re represented and said they were interested in cooperation with the University of Kazan in various directions as well as in student exchange. The meeting took place as part of the visit of the Czech delegation led by Martin Pecina, the Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic.

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shiamiev received representatives of the bandy club Dinamo-Kazan who won the Russian Cup the day before. The meeting where the President was shown the unique cup first played in 1937 took place at the Kazan Kremlin on November 11.

The ceremony of presentation of the International Arbuzov Prize 2009 in phosphorous chemistry was held at the Kazan Kremlin on November 11. The certificate and memorial medal of the laureate of the Prize was given to the academician of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Director of the Centre of molecular and macromolecular researches of the Polish Academy of Sciences Professor Marius Mikolaichik by Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev.

On the 10th of November, during the celebration the Day of Russian Militia, the delegation of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic headed by Minister Martin Pecina visited Tatarstan. The delegation consisted from the Deputy Minister of the Interior for European Affairs, the Head of the Central Department of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the Director of International Relations Department, the Police Attaché of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Moscow, as well as representives of business circules – altogether 17 people. The friendly visit will last two days.

On the 13th of November, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan will hold the seminar called ‘Lean Manufacturing’ with participation of the Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Tatarstan, CCI ‘Zakamye’ and business leaders.

November 17, targeted business meetings with representatives of Belgian enterprises will be held in Tatarstan. The event is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On the eve, the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by First Deputy Prime-Minister Ravil Muratov visited Vitebsk region (Belarus). People of Tatarstan took part in the opening ceremony of the memorial monument to our fellow-countrymen who fall in the battles of the Great Patriotic War for liberation of Belarus.

The National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan received as a present from the Oxford University (Great Britain) the rare book about the medieval views of the Cosmos, including Muslim views. The book was presented by the executive secretary of the Oxford University Library Michael Henie that visited National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
