September 9, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan had a meeting with Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime-Minister. During the meeting Vladimir Putin and Mintimer Shaimiev discussed socio-economic situation of the region, as well as issues related to holding of the Universiade-2013 in Kazan.

KAMAZ-Master team pilot Firdaus Kabirov won the 5th lap of Silk Road rally-raid. This victory gave him an opportunity to lead the trucks ratings of the race.

Tatarstan’s industrial policy priorities have for some years now been issues related to standardisation and improving technical regulation, claimed the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roustam Minnikhanov while welcoming participants at an international conference called Practical Application of Technical Regulation in Russia’s Oil and Gas Complex.
