On 29 July at 16.00, the opening of the "Water" photo-exhibition will take place in the State Fine Arts Museum of Tatarstan. American traveller and amateur photographer Joseph Daniel Stec will present 60 author's works about water and its value in our life.

On 29th of July, Kazan welcomed a visiting delegation of Turkish healthcare specialists. Their acquaintance with Tatarstan healthcare began with a visit to an educational center for training of specialists on high-tech medicine. Then, the guests learned operational details of the Republic's clinical hospital perinatal care center, express laboratory, reanimation unit, surgery block and other facilities.

Presentation of capabilities was held today for Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov by representatives of Japanese EBARA Corporation. EBARA Corporation is the largest manufacturer of pump equipment for industrial and household sector and exists in the world market since 1912.

The Ministry of Land and Property Relations of the Republic of Tatarstan summarised the information on incomes received by local budgets from the use and sales of municipal property and land resources in the first half of 2009. As of 1 July, local budgets received RUR 1,232.78 million which constitutes 64 percent of the annual target. Due to this high performance, budgetary assignment since the beginning of the year was increased by about RUR 500,000.

On 28 July, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev made a working trip to Sarmanovo and Aznakaevo districts of the Republic to inspect the progress of field harvest operations. In the trip, he was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov.

On 26 July, the Executive Committee meeting of the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF) took place in Sweden where Kazan presented its official application to hold the European Championship 2011. Having voted unanimously, the members of the Executive Committee took the decision to hold the European Championship in Kazan. In April 2011 the European Weightlifting Championship will be held in the Wrestling Palace. To inspect the championship venue, Kazan will be visited in October 2009 by President of the European Weightlifting Federation Antonio Urso.

On 25 July, Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Fazylzyanov finished its two-day visit to the Turkish capital Istanbul for the purpose of studying the experience of IT businesses.

In Osijek of Croatia, First Deputy Minister on Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of Tatarstan Yusup Yakubov held the presentation of the shooting facilities which are being built in the Verhneuslonsky District of Tatarstan, thus having confirmed the Tatarstan application for holding the European Championship to be conducted in 2010 within this new sports installation. The European Shooting Confederation was satisfied with the degree of readiness of this installation which will host the Russian Trap Shooting Championship as early as from 14 to 20 September 2009.

McDonald's Corporation moved its distribution centre providing raw materials to 30 restaurants of the Volga Region and adjacent Urals regions (Ufa, Orenburg, Yekaterinburg, etc.) from Nizhniy Novgorod to Kazan. The Kazan McDonald’s Distribution Centre already began its operations. It occupies 2,900 square metres in a warehouse complex of A class logistical Q-Park.

On 24 July, а republic’s meeting was held in Kazan concerning dwelling completions in the Republic of Tatarstan; the attendees include Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and Minister of Regional Development of the Russian Federation Viktor Basargin.
