The meeting between Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Russian Federation John Beyrle was held at the Kazan Kremlin on June 25.
The International Summit of Islamic Business and Finance has today opened in Kazan. Attendees at the opening were the prime minister of Tatarstan Roustam Minnikhanov and Russia’s official envoy to the Organisation of the Islamic Conference Kamil Iskhakov.

The seminar on Strategic planning and assessment of regional programmes effectiveness will be held on June 25-26 at the Centre for Advanced Economic Research of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. The event is organized under the guidance of the Tatarstan Ministry of Economy. Expert of the Canada School of Public Service Walter Zubritsky, who has 25 years of experience in programmes effectiveness assessment, will conduct the seminar.

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has signed the republican Law “On introducing changes in RT Law “On budget of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2009 and for the planned period of 2010 and 2011” and on recognition of annulled statutes of RT Law “On introducing changes in RT Law “On budget of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2009 and the planned period of 2010 and 2011”.
Russian Government allocates 7 billion rubles for preparation for and organization of the Universiade in Kazan. “I have signed a decree on allocating 7 billion rubles to Tatarstan for organization of the Universiade”, Russia Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said.
150 Tatarstan volunteers left for Belgrade, Serbia to participate in the 25th Summer Universiade. In Serbia they will take a training course and work at 13 departments of the Universiade.
