The award ceremony of the contest The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: Women's View was held in the Pyramid Convention Complex on March 5. The event celebrating the International Women's Day was attended by Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is meeting with representatives of the high-potential management personnel reserve. As many as 28 members of the 'golden hundred' are attending the meeting.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov left for Ireland on March 3 as a member of the official Russian delegation.
Two Naberezhnye Chelny enterprises, ZAO Chelny-broiler and OOO Chelny-khleb became the leaders in production and selling of halal products.
A new sport complex was opened in Pustye Morkvashi, Verkhni Uslon district, Tatarstan on the basis of the recreation centre Gazovik on March 4. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the opening ceremony.
The Turkish Film Festival “How do you do!” is to take place in Kazan in Grand Cinema on March 5-6. Kazan citizens will watch the films that received awards at prestigious international forums.
March 2, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian President to the Volga Federal District Grigory Rapota presented state awards to outstanding figures of the Volga Federal District in Nizhny Novgorod.
