Government approves 10-billion-rouble guarantees for Kamaz and Sollers
Kamaz and Sollers are to be provided 5 billion roubles in governmental loan guarantees, said Monday the first deputy premier Igor Shuvalov at a meeting with the president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

March 17, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 to be held in Kazan.

Tatarstan rock climbers – best in Russia
The open tournament in rock climbing finished in Cheboksary city on March 16. Tatarstan team won the first place in the team rating. They will participate in Russian championship in Moscow and student championship in Yekateinburg.
Austria’s Ambassador to Russia visits Kazan State University
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to the Russian Federation, Martin Vukovich visited Kazan State University on March 16. Rector of Kazan State University, Myakzyum Salakhov welcomed the distinguished guest at one of the oldest universities of the country. Myakzyum Salakhov said that nearly 18 thousand students are studying at 17 departments of the university at present.
