The talks between President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Mintimer Shaimiev took place at the Kazan Kremlin. It was followed by an extended meeting with participation of members of the Turkish delegation and Tatarstan representatives.
After the meeting, the President of Turkey was taken around the Kazan Kremlin.
Abdullah Gul is expected to come to the capital of Tatarstan on a two-day visit on February 14th.
Talking about the visit, Mr Dieter Zetsche noted that his first acquaintance with the plant made him confident that Daimler had done the right thing buying a stake in the auto giant.
Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic of Republic Tatarstan, met with Gennady Zyuganov, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the head of the Communist Party faction in the Russian Federation State Duma, at the Kazan Kremlin on February 12.
February 12, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Sergei Kobzev, the head of Kuibyshev Railways, at the Kazan Kremlin. They discussed issues of heavier traffic in Tatarstan in connection with the development of the Kama industrial junction.
