Tatarstan sportsman Akhmed Siraziev has won two gold and one bronze medals in cross country skiing on 10 and 15-km and 5-km trails respectively among veterans for the 10th time having become a world champion.
Tatarstan’s prime minister Roustam Minnikhanov at a Transport and Road Economy Ministry session today praised the road construction industry’s 2008 performance.

As part of the state defense order it is purchase for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation around 1,300 automobiles, including minibuses FIAT and tow trucks on ISUZU chassis, the ministerial press-service reported.

February 10, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev attended a meeting of the Governmental commission on increasing stability of Russian economic development held by First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov in the House of Government in Moscow. The participants of the meeting foucsed on measures aimed at improving the situation in the real sector of economy.

Implementation of the project 'Formation of Tatarstan's image' will be in the focus at the RT Economy Ministry on February 11.
People in 69 regions of the Russian Federation will take part in the All-Russian mass ski races 'Ski track of Russia 2009' on the coming Sunday.
Films of the 3rd French film festival will be shown in Kazan's Mir theatre from 10 to 16 February. Eight full-length films for adults and 1 animation film for children were brought by the French Embassy in Russia.
