September 3, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Igor Fenogenov, CEO of the Eurasian Bank for Development.

September 1 saw the other day of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev’s visit to Almetyevsk where on Saturday morning he met with students and the staff of Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute and delivered a lecture on competitiveness.

August 31, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the events dedicated to the extraction of the three billionth tonne of crude oil in the city of Almetyevsk, Tatarstan.

The first event on the agenda of August 30 was an opening of the Children’s railroad in the Lebyazhie Woodland Park. At noon, the new water park near the Riviera Entertainment Complex opened wide the doors to people of Kazan. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, RT Prime-Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, RT First Vice Prime-Minister Ravil Muratov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Head of OAO Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin, Chairman of the Russian Audit Chamber Sergei Stepashin and other officials attended the ceremony.

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the ceremony of the first brick laying in the foundation of the Kazan Tennis Academy and the Water Sports Palace.

August 29, the Football and Field-and-Track Manege opened near the Kazan Central Stadium. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev became its first visitor of honour.

August 29 has seen a presentation of the concept of renovation and development of the territory of the Old Tatar Settlement taking place at the Kazan City Hall. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev attended the presentation.

The presentation of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone has become another event dedicated to Elabuga’s millennial celebrations. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the presentation.

August 24, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev is attending events dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the foundation of the city of Elabuga, Tatarstan.

August 22, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev received a delegation of ZF Friedrichshafen AG headed by Wolfgang Vogel, member of the board, executive vice-president of the company. Prospects of cooperation of OAO KAMAZ and ZF Friedrichshafen AG were discussed at the meeting.
