Issues of agriculture complex and sanitary-ecological situation improvement in Tatarstan were discussed at the Republic seminar-session on June, 29 in Zainsk town.

A letter of thanks addressed to RT President M.Shaimiev from Ambassadors of the Arab states-recent participants of II International Congress «Islamic culture in the Volga-Ural region» and Kul Sharif mosque opening ceremonies was received. It has been noted in the message that they were deeply impressed by the time spent in Kazan and meeting with RT President.

President Mintimer Shaimiev attended Sabantui of the Moscow city district of capital and on its own behalf, RT Government and State Council warmly congratulated the guests and participants. The official part of Sabantui traditionally began from congratulations. The head of city district administration Guzaliya Minkina passed a word to President Mintimer Shaimiev. Welcoming participants of Sabantui he briefly reminded of original roots of a holiday loved by all which starts marching across the republic from the first Sunday of June in all villages, cities, settlements, irrespective of their size.

Sabantui of Privolzhsky city district has gathered today in one of picturesque places of Kazan at Birchwood, in settlement Mirny, all those who preferred to celebrate a holiday on the bosom of nature. Among the guests there were President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, RF minister of regional development Vladimir Yakovlev, chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, secretary general of the Organization Islamic Conference Eklemeddin Ihsanoglu, head of Kazan city administration Kamil Iskhakov, ambassadors of the Muslim states, heads of the republican ministries and departments.

On July 24, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev was awarded the first-order of honour “Al-Fahr” at the opening ceremony of Kul-Sharif mosque in the Kazan Kremlin. The Order was handed by Chairman of the Board of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gainutdin. Second-order “Al-Fahr” was given to JSC “Tatneft” Director General Shafagat Tahautdinov, which company had been general sponsor of Kul-Sharif mosque building

On July 24 was the holly day for all Muslims. Kul-Sharif mosque solemn opening took place in the Kazan Kremlin.

Prior to the beginning of republican meeting on issues of reforming housing and communal services of the republic which is to be held at the city House of culture, Mintimer Shaimiev and heads of the RT ministries and departments have familiarized with an exhibition of special equipment for housing and communal services made at the enterprises of republic.

Kazan Kremlin, President of Republic Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev held meeting on priorities in realization of anticorruption policy pursuit by Republic Tatarstan. At the meeting features of today's situation on the given issue were discussed and first steps on implementing anticorruption policy were determined. As known, Tatarstan the first in Russia has developed Strategy of anticorruption policy of the republic which performance is a necessary condition for the further development of democracy in the country.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev held the work meeting with President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko in Kiev.

Mintimer Shaimiev signed a decree on Representative Plenipotentiary of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan in the RT State Council.
