The course of the project of reviving the cultural heritage of the ancient town of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk was a central issue at the Joint meeting of the Charitable Council and Board of Trustees of the Republican Fund of Revival of Tatarstan Historic and Cultural Monuments.
June 9, Tatarstan parliamentarians will consider the issues of the address by deputies of the RT State Council to Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Boris Gryzlov on introduction of a new memorial date – the Day of official adoption of Islam in Russia – to the list of Russian memorial dates.
The Tatarstan’s State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and JSC Lukoil’s President Vagit Alikperov have today met at the premises of the Kazan Kremlin representative office. The first Tatarstan President, Revival Fund advisory board chairman thanked Vagit Alikperov for responding to the ancient city of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk island town reconstruction initiative. He thanked the Lukoil and Ritek firms' management for social projects implemented in Tatarstan.
The republican fund Revival, founded by Chairman of the Board of Trustees First Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, continues to organize works in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk. The other day restoration works have started in the Bolgar History and Architecture Museum-Reserve.
May 6, Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Counsellor of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with Aleksandr Konovalov, the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation.
On May 20, the State Councillor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr. Mintimer Shaimiev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in the Russian Federation Mr. Halil Akıncı. The encounter took place in Kazan Kremlin.
A concert dated to the 300th anniversary of Aktanysh Village took place at Kamal Tatar State Academic Theater on Wednesday, May 19. The distinguished guests of the event were Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and RT Vice-Premier – Minister of Culture Zilya Valeyeva.
Films about the rich history and nature of Aktanysh region were shown on a large screen, which was set up on the theater stage. Amateur performers and teams of the region presented their creativity at the concert.
RT State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met with editor-in-chief of the Beznen sport newspaper (Our sport) Ilnaz Fazullin on May 12. Mintimer Shaimiev answered questions of newspaper readers that focused on the development of national sports, training coaches, sportsmen, funding for professional and amateur sports in the republic, preparation for the Universiade 2013.
The reception hosted by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in honour of Great Patriotic War veterans was been held in the Coat of Arms Hall at the Kazan Kremlin on May 9.
On May 12 Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Councellor of the Republic of Tatarstan has met with Ilnaz Fazullin, the editor-in-chief of Beznen Sport Newspaper.
