The situation with passenger transport in Tatarstan’s capital needs to be drastically changed, stated Kazan executive committee’s head Rafis Burganov at a staff meeting at the mayor’s office.

Tatarstan has harvested 1,763,8 tonnes of grain. The average productivity is 26 centners per hectare, which is 9.3 centners less than last year.

The Tatneft oil producer has commenced the building of a trunk pipeline from Kaleikino to Nizhnekamsk oil refinery. According to the company’s’ press service, the facility is being built within the Taneko oil refining and petrochemical project in Nizhnekamsk, which chief coordinator is Tatneft. The pipeline is an important part of the infrastructure financed from the Russian Federation’s Investment Fund.

Russia Industry and Trade Ministry has approved the Tatarstan’s request for additional financing, for industrial enterprises to take part in the regional programme aimed to reduce tensions on the job market.

The volunteers from Tatarstan who took part in the recent Universiade in Belgrade were today celebrated at the Kazan City Hall. OAO Tatneft has built 200 new horizontal wells and about 50 lateral horizontal wellbores in the oilfields of Tatarstan. Drilling of such wells is performed in the oil fields with complicated geological structure.

Tatarstan has set to preparing for the Universiade 2013 sporting event. The Tatarstan Labour, Employment and Social Security Minister Airat Shafigullin yesterday held a meeting on the matter.

The joint meeting of the Council under the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian President to the Volga Federal District and the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation took place in Perm on August 5. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev attended the meeting.
