January 20, the working meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Finland headed by Marti Pantasar-Kallio, Director of the Programs of Lahti Technopark was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.

January 19, the session of the Board of the RT Ministry of Forestry was held in Kazan with the participation of the Rustam Minnikhanov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan. The system of the management of the forestry and tasks of the branch for the next ten years was discussed at the meeting.

In 2008 "Kazan" International Airport served 751504 passengers or 21.9 percent more than it did in 2007. During the year the passenger traffic on international lines rose by 29.5 percent, on internal lines – by 17 percent.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated KAMAZ-Master team on victory in Dakar-2009 rally.
