Tatarstan president, Mintimer Shaimiev, met with the head of JSC “Lukoil” Vagit Alekperov on May 21. During the meeting in Kazan Kremlin there has been signed an agreement between RT government and the biggest international oil and gas company.

The first session of the XVI annual meeting of the EBRD has been held in Kazan on May 20. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, the EBRD President Jean Lemierre, RF Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref, Plenipotentiary Representative of RF President in Privolzhye Federal District Alexander Konovalov and other officials has taken part in it.

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, RF Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Jean Lemierre took part in business-lunch devoted to development of Far East region of Russia.
The event was held at the hotel complex «Mirage» within the framework of the EBRD summit in Kazan.

Late at night on 19 May the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaymiev had a talk with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Mr. Ahmad Mukhamed Ali.

On 19 May, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaymiev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation Mr. Robert Tyson in the course of the reception at the International horseracing complex “Kazan”.

Plenary session of the forum «Investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan» has been held within the framework of International investment forum «Russian regions – strategies of growth».
Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, RF Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref and the President of the European Bank for reconstruction and Development Jean Lemierre participated in it. This event was timed to business forum and annual meeting of the EBRD Board of Governors.

Before the plenary session “Russian regions – strategies of the growth” within the framework of EBRD’s summit, which is taking place in Kazan, the exhibition, dedicated to Tatarstan’s investment potential, opened in “Korston” trade and entertainment complex.
