Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Singapore Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew – a legendary ex Prime Minister of Asian country.

Scientific-practical conference “Innovations – main line of optics branch development” has been held on June 7 in Kazan. It was devoted to the 50th anniversary of FGUP NPO State Institute of Applied Optics. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev has taken part in the conference.

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has received at his official residence in Kazan Kremlin the delegacy of Islamic Conference “For dialogue and cooperation” on June 7. The participants of the youth organization were headed by Turkish Prime Minister Councilor on the religious questions Ali Sarikai.

Tatarstan President, the Chairman of RT Security Council Mintimer Shaimiev held a session on the issues of gas and oil chemical complex’ development. The members of the Council listened the report of Minister for economy and industry Boris Pavlov about the perspectives of tire complex’ development and its cooperation with automobile complex.

“Apastovsky district is in trustworthy hands and on the right track,” - Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev stated to republican journalists after his working trip to the most rapidly developing district of RT Zavolzhye zone on June 2.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev has held a meeting with the head of Federal Tax Service Mikhail Mokretsov. They have discussed the questions of economy development in RT, tax coming in, the work of tax organs on the territory of the republic.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev has received in his official residence in Kazan Kremlin the delegacy from Free State of Saxony, headed by Saxony vice Prime Minister, State Minister for Economic Affairs and Labour Thomas Jurk .

Modern equipment industry’s plant is planned to be opened in Tatarstan. It was discussed during the meeting of RT President Mintimer Shaimiev with the representatives of the company Schneider Electric. The meeting took place in the Kazan Kremlin.
