There has been held a meeting of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev with commander-in-chief of RF Armed Forces’ land troops, army general Alexei Maslov on June 14 in Kazan Kremlin.

Reorganization of RT Ministry of Labor and Employment and RT Ministry of Social Protection has been considered on the session of RT State Council Committee on state formation and local government. The initiative belongs to RT president; he suggested uniting the two ministries in one - RT Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection. The committee members agreed with the suggestion and submitted the issue for consideration of RT State Council.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev has taken part in the solemn ceremony of honoring the Republic of Tatarstan, which took the second place in the contest among RF regions for the best quality of preparation for military service, organization of call-up in 2006. The ceremony has been held in Kazan Kremlin on June 13.

The members of the Council listened the report of Minister for economy and industry Boris Pavlov about the perspectives of tire complex’ development and its cooperation with automobile complex.
