Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and Prime-minister of Saxony Georg Millbrandt signed a Communiqué as a result of a two-sided meeting.

March 13, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev arrived in Saxony. Saxony State Minister for Economic Affairs and Labor Thomas Jurk, General Consul of the Russian Federation in Leipzig Gennadij Golub and other officials met RT President at the Leipzig/Halle International Airport.

Meeting of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and European Bank of Reconstruction and Development president Jean Lemierre was held on March 1in Kazan Kremlin. Readiness of Tatarstan capital to host the annual assembly of EBRD Managers Council in May 2007 was discussed on the meeting.

The new building of the department of internal affairs opened in the metro in Kazan on March 1.
