On July 18 in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met the State Secretary of the Russia-Belorus Union Pavel Borodin.

With feeling of deep grief we have perceived the news about the air - accident which occurred in Germany having entailed numerous human victims. On behalf of multinational people of Republic Tatarstan and from myself personally I express the deepest condolences, ask to transfer these feelings to relatives and the close of the perished. We share heavy bitterness of losses and we grieve together with fraternal people of Bashkortostan, is said in the telegram.

June 26, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Michael Kasyjanov and RT President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in opening the exhibition " Innovations. Tatarstan - 2002 " at the Exhibition centre " Kazan fair ".

As it was already informed, on June 25, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kasyjanov arrived in Tatarstan. At the international airport " Kazan " the guests were met by the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev , RT Prime Minister R. Minnikhanov and other officials.
