On August 6, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev discussed with Alexei Kudrin, RF Minister of Finance, preparation results to the Kazan Jubilee.

On August 5, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting with representatives of the European Muslim world in Kazan Kremlin.

A traditional meeting of Tatarstan teachers in the year of Kazan 1000-anniversary obtained an international status. Representatives from Germany, Turkey, Kazakhstan education executives from Bashkortostan, Karelia, Udmurtia, Republic Saha (Yakutia), Kaluga, Moscow, Kirov and many other oblasts of Russia gathered at the meeting. Deputy Chairman of Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the European Council Gunther Krug (Germany) was an honorary guest of the conference.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev considers the equalisation policy prospectless. He is sure that the time has come to get away from finance-economic levelling of the RF subjects .

Kazan Kremlin, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev received RF Minister of Agriculture, member of the State commission on preparation for the 1000-anniversary of Kazan Alexei Gordeyev in his residence .

Only one article left unresolved in the Agreement on differentiation of subjects of management and mutual delegation of powers between the government bodies of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan. This was said by RT President in interview to journalists.

On July 29, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and RF Transport Minister Igor Levitin took part in the opening of suburban station after its reconstruction.

On July 28, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and RF Minister of Transport Igor Levitin participated in a festive opening of “Kazan” International Airport Business Terminal and Kazan-Orenburg motorway commissioning ceremony.

On July 27, Interior Minister of the Russian Federation Rashid Nurgaliev arrived in Kazan. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, RT Prime-Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, First Deputy Interior Minister of RF Colonel-General Alexander Chekalin, RT Interior Minister Asgat Safarov and other officials met him in the airport.

Opening a solemn award ceremony Mintimer Shaimiev started with the words of gratitude and congratulations on the occasion of Nazip Ziatdinov’s 80-anniversary.
