The Republic of Tatarstan orgaizational committee for preparation and holding celebrations of the sixty fifth anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 took place at the Kazan Kremlin on March 25th. The meeting was presided by the organizational committee chair, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.
President of the Republic of Tatarstan received a letter from the acting President of the Russian Academy of Education David Feldshtein that informs that "Kazan professional training institute of pedagogics and psychology”, an establishment of the Russian Academy of Education is named after Mirza Makhmutov, academician of the Russian Academy of Education.

As part of preparations for the Summer University Games the capital of Tatarstan will become a platform for the Europe Day Festival in Russia.
The first international exhibition Sport 9 under the aegis of Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation is opening on March 24 in Moscow.
March 23, the working meeting on preparation for the 5th Eurasian Information Security Forum INFOFORUM-Eurasia to take place in Kazan 19-20 June 2009 was held at the RT Ministry of Informatization and Communication. The event is organized with the support of the RT Ministry of Information and Communication as part of the Year of Internet Security in Russia.

1000 business projects will be realized in the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan until the end of the current year. Each of the projects will be realized in the field of agricultural products production – milk, meat, vegetables.
A conference devoted to 150th birthday anniversary of Rizaetdin Fakhretdin took place today in Kazan in the conference hall of the Mardzhani Mosque.
The meeting of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for development of physical culture and sport took place in Sochi on March 23. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and Prime-minister Rustam Minnikhanov attended the meeting.

Agreements between Tatarstan Government and the republican municipal districts for 2009 were signed on March 19 at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. Tatarstan Premier Rustam Minnikhanov and heads of the republican municipal formations signed the documents.
