Vladimir Putin has appointed new Plenipotentiary Representatives of the President of Russia in the Volga and the Far East federal districts, RIA "Novosti" informs.

On behalf of President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russian Federation Nazif Mirikhanov in Nalchik took part in funeral of the first President of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Kokov Valery Muhamedovich, Press centre of RT Plenipotentiary representation in the Russian Federation informs.

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev held meeting in the Kazan Kremlin with chief Volga customs management Leonid Shornikov and chief Tatarstan customs house Nikolay Kotsubenko. During a meeting the issues of functional and structural changes of the Volga customs services of the federal district promoting developing economy of regions being members of it and introducing modern technologies at check points were discussed.

Today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has accepted board chairman of the RT Union of writers Ilfak Ibragimov. in the Kazan Kremlin. During a meeting the issues of holding next year the actions devoted to 100-anniversary of Musa Dzhalil’s birthday and 120-anniversary of Gabdulla Tukai’s birthday have been discussed.

A congratulatory telegram addressed to RT President Mintimer Shaimiev was received from RF Minister of Agriculture A.V.Gordeev on the occasion of successful harvesting of more than 2 mln tones of sugar beet by Tatarstan farm-workers in 2005.

Apparently we had to mature for it, moreover, there is a beautiful occasion – international Muslim holiday Uraza Bairam and tomorrow we will celebrate National Unity Day.
