On November 23, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with women-mothers. The meeting was dated to the Mother’s Day celebrated in Russia for the fifth time.

On November 22, the RT Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) organized a round table "On increasing the CCI role in development of regional business" with participation of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, President of Russian CCI Yevgeny Primakov, heads of ministries and departments of the republic, representatives of big, medium and small business.

On November 20, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev took pat in the session of the Supreme council of the All-Russia party "Unity and Fatherland - United Russia". The council elected fourth co-chairman of the party - Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia B.Gryzlov, who earlier was a member of the Supreme council. Mintimer Shaimiev will become member of the bureau of the Supreme council. The Tatarstan President also carried out several working meetings in Moscow.

The issues of cooperation between Tatarstan and Ministry of Railroads of the Russian Federation and, in particular, Gorkovsky railroad were discussed November 20 at the Kazan Kremlin during meeting of RT President Mintimer Shaimiev with the RF deputy minister of railroads Hasan Zyabyarov and chief of Gorkovsky railroad Shevket Shaidullin.

The agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Foreign Trade Bank (Vneshtorgbank) was signed on November 15 in the Kazan Kremlin. This was preceded by long and uneasy negotiations with the management of Vneshtorgbank. However, as President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev noticed after the ceremony of signing, conversations with such bank cannot be simple, but the most important - they are constructive.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev received a congratulatory telegram from President of the International Union of exhibitions and fairs of the CIS and Baltic countries, vice-chairman of the European branch of the Union of International fairs (UFE), director general of JSC "Lenexpo" Sergey Alekseyev on occasion of the exhibition centre JSC "Kazan fair" joining the UFE as a full member.
"I hope that this significant event will further increase the prestige of the Republic of Tatarstan at the international scene" the telegram says.

On November 13, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met with Head of Southeast Department of the Federal frontier service of Russia general-lieutenant M.Oganesyan in the Kazan Kremlin. The trip to Tatarstan of M.Oganesyan has a fact-finding character.

The concept of reforming of the housing and communal services was the main theme of the republican working meeting presided by Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev on November 12 in the Kazan Kremlin.

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev holds that the Russian mass media should independently develop uniform rules of journalistic ethics and professional behaviour in emergency situations. Any intervention from the outside in these issues from the part of authorities will not be perceived to the full by all journalistic community and, accordingly, these rules will not be carried out by all, as the majority of the Russian mass media for today are independent, - M.Shaimiev stated in interview to "Interfax" .

November 4, Kazan Kremlin, the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has received the representatives of the company "Metro Cash & Carry " headed by its director general Herbert Tzlabinger.
During a meeting the arrangement was achieved that the first shop "Metro Cash and Carry " will appear in Kazan in 2004.
