December 4, the Kazan Kremlin, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Mr. Erich van Egeraat, a Dutch architect, the owner of Erick van Egeraat associated architects. Taking part in the meeting were State Advisor of the RT President on international issues – Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Timur Akulov, the Mayor of Kazan, Mr. Ilsur Metshin, officials of the RT Construction, Architecture and Housing Ministry.
December 4, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev received a delegation of the Republic of Finland. The members of the delegations are Esko AHO, President of the Finnish National Fund for Research and Development Sitra, Harry HELENIUS, Ambassador of Finland in the Russian Federation, Sakari TAMMINEN, CEO and President of Ruukki Oyj, Okan DAHER, Chairman of the Finnish Tatar community, Maaret HEISKARI, Director of the Russia Programme of the Finnish National Fund for Research and Development Sitra, etc.
December 1 has seen an opening ceremony at OAO ZMA in Naberezhnye Chelny where serial production of FIAT Albea automobiles started. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, RF Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Andrei Dementyev, and Head of Business Development section of Fiat Auto Enzio Barra took part in the ceremony.
November 29, after the meeting of the work group of the RF State Council on issues of work of state power bodies of the RF subjects on reforming housing and communal services and construction of affordable housing taking into account the interests of low-income population groups, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev gave an interview to television channel “Vesti”, in which once again he focused a number of pressing questions of this sphere.
November 28, the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev received Mr, Vladimir Mamontov, Editor-in-chief of Izvestia newspaper.
November 22, International scientific conference “Nikolai Feshin and Art Culture of the 20th century” devoted to 125th anniversary of the artist opened in Kazan. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev sent his welcome speech to the conference participants – leading experts of Russian art science, museum workers, representatives of colleges and universities, and American museums.
November 21, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and Chairman of the Russian Audit Chamber Sergei Stepashin, who arrived in Kazan the day before, visited a number of sport venues in the Tatarstan capital. They shared with journalists their opinion about Kazan’s being fully equipped as a candidate city for hosting World Summer Universiade.
November 20, Chairman of the Russian Audit Chamber Sergei Stepashin, who is in Kazan for a business trip, and Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Interregional clinical and diagnostic centre.
